Donovan Neal has been playing bassoon since 2013, currently studying Music Education and Bassoon Performance with Ted Soluri, Principal Bassoonist of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
Donovan wants to positively influence lives by sharing and educating others about the bassoon and the overall joy that music education brings. He finds it intriguing that when words fail, music speaks. Donovan offers individual or group leadership seminars, in addition to private lessons and masterclasses on the bassoon. |
During his career thus far, Donovan has had the privilege to perform in several ensembles across the world, including Australia and several states in the United States. Most recently, Donovan was a member of the National Youth Orchestra during the summer of 2020, and the Honor Band of America twice in 2019 and 2020.
In addition, Donovan has attended several leadership camps and seminars led by key names such as Dr. Tim Lautzenhizer, Frank Troyka, Jeremy Spicer, Mike Howard, and Clayton Clark. |
