Cold Start - After going through much of the day with widespread rain overspreading the region, we are now in a drier cool, dry airmass with temperatures in the mid to upper 40s in the DFW metro area. You won't have to travel air to see temperatures at or below freezing levels. Expect a chilly start to the day with highs in mid 40s, warming to the upper 50s by the peak of the day today with a mix of sun and clouds. Same conditions mirrored on Friday; a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid 60s and low in the upper 40s. The Weekend - Saturday will be a mostly overcast Veterans day with clouds increasing throughout the day. Highs still remain in the mid 60s. A few showers will be possible ahead of an approaching front. Nothing too heavy or widespread though. Football Weather - For tomorrow night's high school football games, the weather will be generally comfortable; A clear sky with temperatures falling into the low 60s during the game. Summit High School hosts the Timberview Wolves at Vernon Newsom Stadium for their senior night and last football game of the regular season. For now, the sky will be fair with a kickoff temperature near 59, falling to near 55 by the final whistle. Next Week - Another front could bring a few showers to the state on Monday. Tuesday through Thursday looks pleasant with highs in the 70s... then it looks like we will have a chance at a few thunderstorms by Friday November 17. See the Texas Weather Discussion Video for more details. Tropics - Tropical Storm Rina is still in the Northern Atlantic and is expected to become post-tropical cyclone later today. The rest of the Atlantic Basin is quiet. Hurricane season ends on November 9th.
