Update - Three tornado touchdowns were confirmed during a damage survey this afternoon from this morning's batch of strong thunderstorms. Luckily, all of them had winds below 90 mph. Here is the latest from the NWS Fort Worth... Godley (Johnson County)
This tornado began just south of FM 917 just west of Wild Berry Trail in northwestern Johnson County. This tornado produced a narrow path of damage to the northeast, damaging several manufactured homes and destroying at least two homes. Several other homes suffered roof damage. Two people were injured. Joshua (Johnson County)
This brief tornado occurred just to the east of the city of Joshua, also along FM 917, but just east of Johnson County Road 803. One home suffered major roof damage, while several vehicles and trees were damaged. DeSoto (Dallas County)
This brief tornado began on the south side of Eagle Drive, just north of a football stadium. This tornado produced a narrow swath of damage to the northeast, significantly damaging several homes, including one that lost a garage roof. |
